Greetings to you all in Christ our King! At Christ the King Lutheran Church, we proclaim just that--Christ as our King. Jesus has won the victory, conquering death and the devil at the cross, and giving to us the free gifts of forgiveness and salvation. We daily celebrate that victory and enjoy the rule that our King has over us now and for eternity.
I invite you to continue to look around to find out more about us. Please feel free to call, E-mail, or visit us to learn more about your victory in Christ our King!
In Him,
Pastor Phil Huebner

OUR BELIEFS
Our church is grounded on a sure foundation. Not the cement slab of our new building though! Rather, our church is built on the sure foundation of the prophets and apostles (the Word of God). Everything we believe and teach comes from the Bible and the Bible alone.
Even more, our church is built on the Chief Cornerstone, Jesus Christ. Everything we believe and teach, everything we do in our worship, even everything that has to do with our building design is all centered around our crucified and risen Savior from sin, Jesus Christ. Now we live in thanks and joy, serving him daily as Christ reigns in our hearts and lives as King.

OUR WORSHIP
Every church has its own style of worship. We think you'll enjoy the services at Christ the King, but as in any church, you should expect it to take a couple of Sundays to become accustomed to our way of praising God and proclaiming what he has done.
Each week the service is printed in the worship folder. All the Scripture readings, hymns, and prayers are printed there for you. You are certainly welcome to bring along your own Bible and follow along there if you choose, too.
Our services focus on readings from the Bible which center on the life of Christ and our current lives as Christians. All sermons, hymns, prayers, music, and singing revolve around the Scripture readings each week. Music certainly is an important part of our services. Loud or soft, in monotone or rich harmony, all our praises are music to God as we respond to hearing His Word.
When pondering God's love for us and our opportunity to praise and thank him for that love, we recall the words of the Psalm writer: "I rejoiced with those who said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the LORD.'" (Psalm 122:1)
The services also usually include the following parts in a variety of forms:
The Invocation - We call on the name of our Savior God as we praise him.
Admitting sins and Hearing Forgiveness - We acknowledge that we have not always done what God asks. Then we are assured of forgiveness because of what Jesus Christ has done for us.
Bible Readings - We hear selections from God's Old Testament prophets, Jesus' apostles, and from Jesus himself in the Gospels. The pastor also gives a brief explanation of each reading.
Sermon - Our pastor offers instruction and encouragement in a Bible-based sermon. We hear how we can expect God's guidance and grace for dealing with problems, as well as the promise of eternal life in heaven through Jesus.
Response to the Word - We respond with offerings, hymns, and prayers in thanks for the things God has promised to us and for strength to do what he has asked.
Parting blessing - We hear one last assurance of God's care.
Mixed throughout these different parts of our service are hymns and short songs to praise God.
Our worship uses traditional forms together with modern language and application. The traditional brings us the best from God's Church throughout the ages, and the contemporary brings God's promises and will into our daily lives. We know you will enjoy and be edified by both!

OUR LEADERS
Christ the King currently has one pastor, Pastor Phil Huebner, who serves as the shepherd of this flock. Pastor Huebner was thoroughly trained for the pastoral ministry at Martin Luther College and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He has been the pastor of the church since its founding in 2007.
Many others participate in leading and serving at Christ the King. The council, or governing board, currently consists of seven who oversee both the church and the school. Some serve on committees that plan for the future of the church and school. Some are ushers or greeters. Some our are leaders of the ushers or greeters. Others help in other different and important ways. All in all there are many members who work together in this body of Christ to share the good news of Jesus through our church and our school.

BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITIES
There are many opportunities for growing in faith and in knowledge of the Word of God. Christ the King offers Bible study opportunities such as these:
Sunday Morning Bible Study: This study is every Sunday morning at 11:00am, or right after the 10:00am worship service. Some weeks we read through Bible books together and discuss. Other weeks we discuss topics of faith or teaching of the Bible. This weekly study is always an opportunity to grow!
Bible Information Classes: This Bible study series covers the major teachings of the Christian faith. It is an opportunity to learn more about the Bible and about Christ the King. It is a study that is easy enough for the beginner, yet challenging enough for the veteran. This study is always being taught throughout the year. Check the calendar for times that it is currently being offered.
Midweek Bible Study: Often during the year there are Bible studies offered at church on week nights. These studies cover varying topics or Bible books. Check the calendar for the next midweek study times!
For more information about Bible studies, or to find the next one to join, check the church calendar.
